About this group
We are a local community centre which is open to all the community. We want to be more efficient and reduce our costs so that the money the charity raises can go on activities for the community and not on keeping the centre heated.
Despite being only 10 years old, the centre is not very energy efficient.
We wanted to install some solar panels to generate electricity and maybe a ground source heat pump in the longer term. We are now going to concentrate on energy saving measures including automatic entrance doors, motion sensing light switches and loft insulation.
