Can you imagine a better way to get the attention of our community? Daisy would cause quite a stir in Basingstoke. I would love to use the combination of the three hungry boys journey and how our Scout and Guide groups could be the centre of Basingstoke's biggest community energy project. The whole idea of slow travel towards our goal of full sponsorship for the new building and the benefits of community energy projects has a really special appeal for me!
We have been making progress thanks to some funding from DECC LEAF and a lot of other fund raising effort. We held our Community Energy Engagement Event in the Old Basing Village Hall and will be supporting Chineham, The Royal British Legion, the Village Carnival and the Brookvale Green Fair over the next couple of months. I am sure that there will be other opportunities to spread the word about our Renewable and Low Carbon Energy potential.
I look forward to keeping you all posted about our progress but must go and eat my tea!

Clive,
I think that we have got your message a few more times than you intended. I did see your bid for Daisy and wish you well in your quest.
Best wishes
Andy
We want Daisy! It will be operated with in range of CBL Electric Vehicles (so it can be maintained) and I'm a trustee of the Westmill Sustainable Energy Trust - who currently fund the running of our existing float - now called the 'Antics Roadshow!' See http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uTUQuZC0Zxo and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G7INhJ2LqVY - I'm an electrical engineer and energy security campaigner - I've applied before but without the youtube links, Clive :-))
