Scargill Movement is a charity. As a thriving and growing community, our home is Scargill House nestling in the stunning Yorkshire Dales. Here we offer retreats, conferences, holidays, restful breaks for individuals, and teaching events for churches. We also welcome asylum seekers and youth and children's groups. We can accommodate up to 80 guests. However, much of our accommodation, which dates from the 1960's, is in need of refurbishment and repair. Heating such extensive premises is extremely costly and our urgent need is for a central biomass heating system. This would replace the four existing old oil boilers. This new system would be energy efficient and environmentally friendly.
