About this group
Our mill has been producing delicious organic wholemeal flour for over 1000 years. From next year we also hope to producing our own electricity!
We're well on the way to starting our hydropower project. In the next few months we will be installing an archemedean screw to generate power in the river behind the mill. We're really excited about this project.
The next stage is to spread the word: to make the hydropower scheme available for everyone to see, and to learn, and also show examples of other sorts of renewable energy. Our partners include the Mill Green Renewable Energies Trust and Friends of Welwyn Hatfield Museums.
