About this group
Amblecote Christian Centre is a thriving community church based in Stourbridge in the West Midlands. The church has a congregation of over 500 members the majority of whom live in the borough of Dudley. With over 200 volunteers the charity is involved in working within the immediate catchment area in many different ways. Our vision is to equip members of our charity to work in a practical way by making a positive contribution their local community. This means that we champion the causes of justice, inequality, poverty, ecology and environmental responsibility. We also aim to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to grow spiritually, physically, and economically through access to education and meaningful relationships.
Our aim is reduce CO2 emissions through using solar panels on our community building. Having installed the panels any savings would be returned into the community to support the development of solar power on homes in deprived areas. we would love to also work with a partner who would train local unemployed people in installing solar systems.
