About this group
Eynsham Village Hall is extensively used by many community groups and consequently uses a considerable amount of energy, particularly during the winter months. The building has a large expanse of south facing roof which would be ideal for capturing solar energy. It is very visible from the road and the adjacent entrance to the local secondary school and sports centre and would have a significant educational benefit. Solar panels, most probably in the form of photovoltaic panels, would set a fine example and show that this community building is playing its part in embracing renewable technology. Other forms of renewable technologies might be considered also.
