Crowborough Rugby Football Club is not just a sporting venue it is a family community working alongside the local community to provide as many alternative opportunities to local families, businesses and schools as our facilities and grounds allow.
We have over 350 young players aged from 4 - 18 and firmly believe that our ethos of fair play, respect and care for others link well to our vision of moulding them into good citizens wherever life takes them. If our project is successful our plan would be to work in partnership with local schools to provide support within renewable energy education.
OUR PROJECT
We have been granted Planning Consent for a 10 kW EVOCO WIND TURBINE. We have a Feasibility Study which shows the technical and economic conditions are good. Crowborough Rugby Football Club (CRFC) have after many years careful management built a new Clubhouse and are very keen to support the microgeneration of electricity at the Clubhouse. In addition to the Wind Turbine,we want to provide a 12 Kw Pv Array on the new Clubhouse roof so we can generate power when the wind blows and when the sun shines!! An MCS survey shows that 50,000kWhr is possible from our combined resources. The energy we generate but do not use will be fed back into the National Grid to the benefit of all.
- CRFC are "CHAMPIONS" of the Union.
The Rugby Football Union are watching our Project with great interest as it could very well be applicable to RFU affiliated Clubs up and down the Nation. What a great story it would be if we can help Clubs throughout the UK to be MicroGenerators and to have a new source of financial security.

Every one of our members has in some way, large or small, made a contribution to our Project.
- CRFC need EnergyShare's help to CONVERT our hard work into a WINNING PROJECT!!!
Our Budgets are quite firm and show an outlay of £100,000 is required of which we can contribute £25,000, therefore we are seeking your support for the £75,000 balance.
