Yesterday saw the official launch of Cornwall Together, a collective buying scheme that aims to help thousands of people across Cornwall save money on their energy bills. Together with our friends at Eden Project and uSwitch, energyshare are proud to be behind this new initiative that will be negotiating directly with the energy companies to try and get a better deal for everyone who signs up.
If you are from Cornwall – or even if you’re not, this isn’t exclusive – then simply grab a recent bill and go to cornwalltogether.com. You will be asked a few questions about your current supplier and then be registered with Cornwall Together. When enough people are signed up we will approach the energy companies and ask them for their best offers.
Once we’re confident that the best deal is on the table – both for standard and sustainable supplies – we’ll offer that deal to you. There’s no commitment to switch, but we think in most cases it will work out cheaper, perhaps significantly so, than most people’s current tariffs.
And for each successful switch we will be adding a slice of the revenue into a fund that will target fuel poverty across the region. Everyone who registers will also be eligible to receive free loft and wall insulation.
In less than twenty four hours Cornwall Together has already seen hundreds of sign ups. It would be great to get as many people from energyshare registered as possible – so when you’ve got a spare five minutes go to cornwalltogether.com and join us!
If we make this a success we will be able to roll it out across the country.
Just signed up - really easy! Fingers crossed for savings.
Cool! Just registered.
Looks great
